Looking along the row of furniture on the back lot of an auction house recently, I was a bit confused about whether it was the end of summer or the beginning of spring.
Fall will soon be upon us, but you couldn’t tell by some of the lovely outdoor furniture on the lot. I’m not talking a table here or a bench there. There were all types of wrought iron outdoor and patio furniture – and stone accessories – for sale. And they were sold at very reasonable prices.

Normally, I write about these different choices in the spring, particularly ones cheaperthan what you’d find at the big box stores.

This fancy bronze/brass bench with bas-relief figures was one of five for sale, along with four chairs similar to it in design. I was not around when these were sold.
The auctioneer called this an ice cream parlor set. The table is missing a glass top, and one chair is missing a cushion. The set sold for $25.
This small stone bench sold for $10. A larger one sold for $15. Two metal urn planters with removable bases – about three feet tall – sold for $175 each.

This table, with adornments shaped like roses, only needs a glass top. I was tempted to bid on it , but didn’t. It sold for $10.
