Guess how this lovely piece of 1950s furniture was used

Posted in furniture

As soon as I saw the furniture in the golden pine finish, I knew it was 1950-ish. The short brass-capped feet and simple lines told me that it was Midcentury Modern, furniture that was made from the 1940s to 1970s.

On one side was a glass front with gold lines that resembled a series of parentheses enclosing a patchwork of diamond boxes. It enclosed a compartment with two curved and dusty shelves.

This type of furniture served triple duty, and I’m sure was a hit at any party.

What is it? Take a guess and click on the photo to see if you’re right.
