A few unusual and some lovely things

One of the things I love about auctions is the adventurous nature of them. You never know what you’ll come across – either staring you in the face or hidden among a motley crew of items.

Recently, I came face to face with some items that I found both unusual and lovely in their own way. Today, I share them with you.

I found two snake-bit kits in different rooms at the same auction house. Some folks believe that these kits do not work and the best advice is to wear high boots in snake territory, don’t mess around with snakes, but most important, stay away from them.

An aluminum mirror in the shape of an automobile tire. I thought this was neat.

A sofa and coffee table from an 8-piece faux rabbit fur living room set.

A side chair from an 8-piece faux rabbit fur living room set.

This looks a bar stool from an 8-piece faux rabbit fur living room set.

Bronze mermaid and dolphin sculpture is more lovely than unusual.

An expressive hand with outstretched torturous fingers. It seems to be made of plaster, and the little finger appears broken.

A walnut display cabinet filled with colorful horse-show award ribbons.

Gold chairs with curve backs adorned with flowers and leaves. Someone has placed two candelabras on their seats.
