As soon as I saw the furniture in the golden pine finish, I knew it was 1950-ish. The short brass-capped feet and simple lines told me that it was Midcentury Modern, furniture that was made from the 1940s to 1970s.
On one side was a glass front with gold lines that resembled a series of parentheses enclosing a patchwork of diamond boxes. It enclosed a compartment with two curved and dusty shelves.
This type of furniture served triple duty, and I’m sure was a hit at any party.
