Gadgets from the past always make exploring at auctions so much fun. Like this machine that looks like a scale for weighing vegetables or fruits.
That’s what I thought it was until I looked up the name embossed on the cover after I closed the top of the machine. I Googled and learned that I was wrong and that it was made by a company founded in the 1930s.
This is a commercial machine, but you won’t find it in the produce area of your local grocery store. Decades ago, you may have found it in the back of the store. It would have made life easier for the business manager.
Updated versions of this machine are still being made by the same company, which proclaims that they cut labor cost, eliminate a boring and tedious job, and save time.
